MEET YOUR TUTOR, SOSY MISHOYAN
Sosy is a graduate of Karen Jeppe Armenian College in Aleppo. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Art and Humanities from Aleppo State University and a Master’s in Armenian Studies from Hamazkayin Institute. Sosy has worked as a Western Armenian language teacher at Aleppo Azkayin Haigazian School and Karen Jeppe Armenian College.
Due to the war, she moved to Armenia, where she attended master's degree courses in Armenian language and literature at Khachadour Apovian University in Yerevan. She worked as a linguist in the Western Armenian Department of the Hrachia Ajaryan Language Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. Currently, she is working at the university of Michigan as Western Armenian instructor and academic program developer.
Sosy is married and has two sons.
Մեր ծրագիրը կը վարէ հայագիտութեան մագիստրոս, փորձառու ուսուցչուհի Սօսի Միշոյեան Տապպաղեանը։
Սօսին շրջանաւարտ եղած է Հալէպի Ազգ. Քարէն Եփփէ ճեմարանէն։Անգլերէն գրականութիւն ուսանած է Հալէպի պետական համալսարանի արուեստի եւ գրականութեան բաժանմունքին մէջ, որմէ ետք հետեւած է Համազգայինի հայագիտականի քառամեայ դասընթացքներուն: Եղած է հայերէնաւանդ ուսուցչուհի նախ՝ Ազգ.Հայկազեան վարժարանի, ապա՝ Ազգ Քարէն Եփփէ ճեմարանին մէջ: Պատերազմին պատճառով տեղափոխուած է Հայաստան, ուր հետեւած է Երեւանի Խ.Աբովեանի անուան հմլս.ի Հայոց լեզու եւ գրականութիւն բաժնի մագիստրոսական դասընթացքներուն եւ աւարտած: Աշխատած է ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Հրաչեայ Աճառեանի անուան լեզուի ինստիտուտի արեւմտահայերէն բաժանմունքին մէջ, իբր կրտսեր գիտաշխատող։ Այժմ կը բնակի Ամերիկա եւ կ՚աշխատի Միշիկըն համալսարանին մէջ իբրեւ հայերէնաւանդ ուսուցչուհի եւ ծրագիր մշակող։ Ամուսնացած է եւ ունի երկու մանչուկ:
2 MAIN COURSES
Western Armenian -
Beginners level
The course is designed for complete beginners who have no prior knowledge of the language, with the exception of perhaps a few key words, such as ‘parev’ and ‘mnak paree’☺ .
• During this course you will quickly learn Armenian alphabet.
• You will read and write in Western Armenian.
• You will be able to have a basic conversation, using familiar everyday expressions.
ՍԿՍՆԱԿՆԵՐՈՒ ՈՒՍՈՒՑՈՒՄ
Այս հանգրուանին մէջ ուսանողը կը սորվի հայերէնի տառերը իրենց հնչիւններով: Կը գրէ ու կը կարդայ արեւմտահայերէնով նախադասութիւններ:
Իւրաքանչիւր դասի աւարտին կը կատարէ համապատասխան վարժութիւններ:
Western Armenian - Intermediate level
The course is designed for students with a basic knowledge of the language and grammar.
• You will enrich your vocabulary to make phrases and sentences (verbally and in a written form).
• You will read, write and speak reasonably well.
• During this course you will study parts of speech (noun, pronoun, verb, etc.).
After each lesson you will be given homework exercises.
Intermediate course has 15 lessons, one hour/each.

- Կը հարստացնէ բառապաշարը:
- Կը կազմէ բառակապակցութիւններ եւ նախադասութիւններ (գրաւոր եւ բանաւոր):
- Կը կարդայ եւ կը կատարէ երկխօսութիւններ:
- Կը տիրապետէ արեւմտահայերէնի խօսքի մասերուն (գոյական, դերանուն, բայ, ...):
Իւրաքանչիւր դասի աւարտին ուսանողին կը տրուին համապատասխան
վարժութիւններ:
